Due to their permanent nature, Kevin's injuries required him to separate from the United States Army in 1996 and he relocated to Atlanta, GA.  For the past 28 years, Kevin has served in leadership roles within the defense industry and international companies.  He is currently a featured speaker and an advisor to multiple organizations.

After his military service, Kevin wanted to continue serving our military men and women and joined the Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association of Atlanta as a Director in 2001.  He has served as President and Chairman of the Board since 2010 and oversaw its transformation to the Georgia Veterans Day Association (GVDA) to better identify their expanded role in honoring Veterans.  The GVDA presents the annual Georgia Veterans Day events in Atlanta, including the Georgia Veterans Day Parade, Observance Ceremony, Veterans Expo, Freedom Ball, and multiple engagements throughout the year.

As a proud member of the Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA), Kevin was honored to be appointed as the President of the KDVA Georgia Chapter in October 2022.  He was selected as a member of the first Korea Revisit Program for Korea Defense Veterans presented by the Republic of Korea Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the KDVA in November 2021.
