We are excited to release the 2021 Challenge Coin. Each year, we design a coin that represents our theme for that particular year.

For 2021, our official theme is: THE LAST 100 YARDS and honors the Infantry who serve in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps. Georgia has a very unique connection to the Infantry in that all US Army and National Guard Soldiers receive their Infantry training at Fort Benning, GA near Columbus. The back of the coin depicts a lone Infantryman patrolling with his rifle at the ready, with a rucksack on his back, and wearing his main method of transportation - his boots. The emblems of the United States Army and United States Marine Corps covers each of his flanks.  The cross rifles of the Infantry Branch proudly cover the bottom half of the coin. In addition to the rifle, there are two additional specialties of the Infantryman featured - a mortar round to honor the Indirect Fire Infantryman (Mortars) and a TOW missile to honor our TOW Gunners who fired this anti-tank weapon with deadly results.

The front of the coin proudly displays the GVDA logo.

Challenge coins are serialized 0001 to 0999.  Our apologies, but we cannot provide specific serial numbers when you place your order.
